FAQ

Where are you based and do you travel?

Chrome Velvet Studios is based in Sweden, and we are available to travel for photoshoots, weddings, events, and commercial projects. Travel outside our local area may include mileage, transporation, accomodation, parking or other related fees, which will be discussed clearly in your custome quote.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Swish, Cash On-site, or Invoice with 30 day payment terms.

When will we receive our photos?

Delivery times vary depending on the type and complexity of your session. Standard portrait galleries are typically delivered 2-4 weeks, while weddings, events and larger commercial projects may require 6-8 weeks. Your estimated turnaround time will be outlined in your agreement. We take care to professionally edit every selected image, and rush delivery may be available for an additional fee.

What happens if we go over the contracted time?

Anything that overruns due to my actions as the photographer is free of charge. If the overrun is caused by client-side delays (e.g., uninformed staff, late styling/makeup), that extra time will be billed at the standard hourly rate. A small buffer of ten minutes for unforeseen circumstances is always allowed at no cost.

What happens if the photographer becomes ill or injured?

If the shoot needs to be rescheduled due to illness or injury, there is no fee.

If you choose to cancel instead, our standard cancellation fees apply.

What is your refund and revision policy?

All delivered images and associated digital files are non-refundable once delivered. The delivery includes up to two minor adjustment rounds (e.g., color tweaks, small crop changes) at no extra cost. Any additional or major edits beyond these minor adjustments are billed by the hour. Once you have received the final product, no refunds can be issued.

What happens if the client shows up late?

Arriving late will reduce your available shooting time, as your session will still end at the originally scheduled time. An extension may be available for an additional fee, but it cannot be guaranteed because we may have multiple bookings that day. Please contact us as soon as possible if you are running late.

What is your rescheduling policy?

We understand that life, emergencies and unpredictable weather can affect your plans, especially for outdoor photoshoots. Each booking includes two complimentary reschedules. After the second reschedule, a new non-refundable retainer is required to reserve another date. Missed or repeatedly rescheduled sessions prevent us form accepting other clients, so please provide as much notice as possible. Weather-related decisions will be discussed before the session based on safety and shooting conditions.

What is the difference between personal use and commercial use for images?

Personal use includes sharing your images on personal social media, displaying them in your home and creating prints for yourself, friends or family. Commercial use applies wherever images are used to promote a business, brand, product, service, event or publication including business websites, advertisements, sponsored posts, merchandise, and promotional materials. Commercial use requires a separate written license and additional fee. Copyright remains with Chrome Velvet Studios unless otherwise paid and agreed in writing.

Who owns the copyrights to images?

Chrome Velvet Studios retains the copyright to all photographs we create unless ownership is transferred through a separate written agreement and payment. Clients receive permission to use their finished images according to the license included with their booking. Personal-use images may not be sold, altered or used to promote a business without written permission and an appropriate commercial license. RAW files, unselected images and copyright ownership are not included in standard packages.
