Feast of Forms

Feast of Forms is a collaborative fine art photography series created by photographer and creative director Red Kulis in collaboration with model and artist Whitley Queen. Developed over a two-year period, this ongoing project was designed as a space for creative growth, experimentation, and artistic freedom.

This series explores the intersection of food, identity, and creature design, merging editorial photography, conceptual portraiture, and surreal art. Each concept pairs a food element with a creature-inspired character transforming familiar ingredients into symbolic, emotive forms. Food is life, culture, comfort, and memory; by blending food with art, Feast of Forms asks: why not associate a creature with a food?

Through experimental makeup artistry, cinematic lighting, bold color palettes, and evolving moods, this project allowed both collaborators to push beyond their comfort zones. The work moves fluidly between playful and unsettling, organic and stylized, highlighting how creative processes evolve over time.

Feast of Forms is rooted in artistic exploration, visual storytelling, and collaborative growth, serving as both a personal study and a visual archive of creative evolution. The series reflects a deep passion for food-inspired art, fine art portrait photography, conceptual fashion, and experimental beauty, offering a unique perspective on how form, texture, and emotion can coexist in a single frame.
